Nutritional Certification Course
Experts estimate that a staggering 98,000 people die from preventable medical
errors each year. More Americans die each month of preventable medical
injuries than died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

into its study and how much they want to get out of it....Dian
The course is given on Sundays or Thursdays and are scheduled to begin:
May 19th 2013 for the Sunday Group or
May 16th 2013 for the Thursday Group
There is not a disease, pestilence, pandemic or plague to fear
because of what one will learn here
Graduates will be Certified in Holistic Health
Holistic Health Counselor (HHC)
from the
National Wholistic Wellness Association
This is also a prep course for those who want to take the American Association of Nutritional
Consultants (AANC) exam.
One can take the AANC exam to obtain a CNC (Certified Nutritional Counselor) without taking this course
but having in-class instruction is considered a more valuable learning experience.
Six to seven years ago nutritionists and health practitioners who had obtained this
and various certifications elsewhere continually asked me to teach this course because
the education they had received or the exams they had taken had not really prepared them
to be hands-on nutritional or wholistic healers.
For those who just want to be supplement salesmen, or purveyors of predetermined
one-size-fits-all diet programs, any certification or designation is adequate.
But, for those who are interested learning how to deal with and treat each individual
as a unique person with unique needs using a bevy of modalities,
this is the course to take and the HHC is the designation to earn.
The HHC certification (in holistic nutritional healing), covers the combined use
of modern supplements, herbs, homeopatics, vibrational energy, food, color,
essential oils and all other traditional healing methods that have
served humanity well for tens of thousands of years.
To be truly trained in a field, it is important to be taught in-person by someone
who has had years of experience in the field.
Books do not teach, they inform, giant classes or web courses do not
provide personalized feed-back, are not personalized for the student
and do not teach personalized protocols for the client.
Realizing this, I eventually agreed to teach this course.
And, it has been very rewarding to do so.
I hope you can join us.

Course Description and Pricing
For those who have expressed an interest in taking my wholistic nutrition course I have put together a letter of the course's content and intent. Let me know if there is anything you need clarified. The next session begins on April 15th for the Sunday group and April 12th for the Thursday group.
Economists have determined that the natural health field is the fastest growing industry in the U. S. today. They project that this trend will continue for the next 10 years. I personally can attest to this truth as my practice continues to grow year after year. Please read my magazine article, What is a Nutritionist?, for a overview of how I view, practice and teach nutrition.
I have chosen to teach a course for those interested in entering the field of Wholistic Nutritional Healing because so many of my clients have run the gammet of counsolers including variious kinds of nutritionists, medical dieticians and health coaches without realizing much success in becoming disease free and healthy. It became clear to me that another training method and certification is needed. Being trained in several modalities, I have chosen through the years to combine this training to help clients get well. This is why I developed and teach future practitioners to earn a Wholistic Wellness Counselor (WWC) designation which is granted by the National Wholistic Wellness Association .
This course also covers the required knowledge for a basic nutrition certification the Certified Nutritional Counselor (CNC) designation but also combines it with what I have learned is really necessary to become a successful health practitioner through years of clinical experience. I have found that the 'CNC' is the most recognizable nutritional designation today but the books and exams that cover them are totally inadequate for training one to open a practice or even to be of much help as a health practitioner. But, it is a good start. Anyone who has accquried this designation will find it hard, if not impossible, to open a successful paractice using this knowledge alone. Many of my students already have obtained a CNC designition while others have certifications from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and other on-line training programs yet have no clue how to address even the most rudimentary questions about healing like, what supplements do I take to enhance my immune system; how many bowel movement should I have each day; when is a intestinal cleanse called for; which herbs balance hormones or how do I control my blood sugar?
The answers to these questions and much more are covered in this course. It is important to be taught by someone who is actively working in the field. I see people every day who have been diagnosed with every ill immaginable. What I have expereince and have come to know is taught in this course and the continuing Ed courses that follow.
There are so many initials used in this field that it is understandably confusing to people seeking nutritional guidance. Having initials that are recognizable helps in building a nutritional business for those who wish to do so and gives creditability to all those who have it. Many people start in the nutritional field, but having a reputation for healing is what keeps someone working. I share what I know and have used through over fifteen years of practice so that it will not become a lost art.
There are limited seats available for new students. Two seats are reserved for former students who may wish to repeat or make-up a previously missed class at no charge. Some students take this course more than one time. After the deposit has been paid, arrangements can be made to pay for the remainder of the course in six payments due at the beginning of each of the first month of class for those who do not wish to pay in a lump sum. We do accept credit cards. However, this is not a pay as you go class but a full 6-month course. There are people who get shut out of these classes due to lack of space.
The AANC exam will cost about $470 payable to the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. One can take the AANC exam without taking this prep course. This course is offered for clarification of the material and for more in depth information about the field. There will be no additional charge for the WWC certification. Each graduate of all 12 classes of this course will receive this designation for the in person hours of work completed.
In addition, each person who finishes the course will also receive a certification as a Holistic Health Counselor, HHC, from The National Wholistic Wellness Association, NWWA, stating that they have completed 180 hours of personalized instruction including in-class participation and at-home study. Certifications that state in-class participation taught by a practicing nutritionist are prized above those certifications from home study or web exams.
Former students of this course are mentored for as long as they feel the need. Each month I will be offering continuing Ed classes These classes and workshops are open to the public but discounted in price for CNC students and practitioners.
In addition to the tuition, there are 12 books for each student to buy that will be covered in the 12 classes of this course. These books can bought at Dian's ofices or online. The twelve books come to around $200, if all are bought. Not all the books need to be bought if economy is a question. There are some books that are good to have for reference in the future but others may never be of use again. If all of the books are not purchased, there will be a few extras available to borrow. Oner Hour will be devoted to the book required for each calss. The other four hours will be devoted to what is really important to being a practitioner which is additional information giving a more balanced and practical look at natural health and nutrition.
This course will tie all the differing nutritional loose ends together thereby helping make heads or tails of the contradictions found in the books on natural health and their conflicting slants on nutrition. It will also cover Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing), supplement and food protocols, how to conduct a consultation and run a business, conditions that cause health problems and eight of my most popular lectures on body systems and health conditions that can be used by students to build their own practice.
The Sunday classes will be held from noon to 5:00 pm and Thursday's classes will be held from 11am to 4pm. Snacks will be sitting out all day and students are welcome to bring their own snacks or some for the class. Rescheduling a class is possible if all the people attending the class are ok with the date changes requested. We are very informal about time and scheduling.
Many former students are now practicing nutritionists. Others have taken this course just to have the information for themselves and their families and thus, do not take it to become nutritionists. Many professionals have taken the course to expand their existing practices. These include psychotherapists, chiropractors, medical doctors, nurses, dental hygienists, massage therapists, physical trainers, yoga instructors, moms, dads, retirees, college students, etc.
This course's intent is to empower people to achieve self-knowledge and self-sufficiency. Although New Jersey does not recognize or certify nutritionists this is both a prep course for a national certification for use in each state and a certification in wholistic healing. Students will learn to consult, advise, lecture and teach others to prevent disease through lifestyle changes, effective supplementation and better food choices. There will also be evening meetings for former students with updates, speakers, intro to new products, business building and info sharing.
I teach this course in order to develop qualified people to share with this information with as many people as possible and to keep this information alive for our posterity.
Each student will also receive a free private consultation with me (a $350 value) and will be considered my client as well as my student.
Please let me know if you have any farther questions and if I can help in any way.
The course is very informative and a lot of fun and we hope you can join us.....Dian
